We Are Family presents work by nine contemporary artists whose work addresses how the LGBTQ community is accessing and navigating marriage, family building, and child-rearing. The artists explore cultural, social, and legal barriers to marriage and child-rearing that remain as well as historical and contemporary ways in which LGBTQ individuals have formed their conceptions of “family.” The exhibition runs through October 21, 2017.
