Watercolors in Bloom
Pittsford Fine Art
4 N Main St.
Jun 2, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Irondequoit artist, Kathy Armstrong, believes that any subject matter can make a great painting with the right light and composition and she enjoys painting everything from machinery to orange segments. But a recurring love of hers is exploring the amazing beauty in flowers and gardens. Armstrong is the featured artist at Pittsford Fine Art for the month of June and will be exhibiting many of her new floral watercolor paintings. Kathy will be at the gallery for First Friday on June 2, from 6 to 8pm.
Armstrong is one of the gallery’s founding artists and in addition to studio painting also enjoys plein air painting — painting outdoors. Although watercolor is her main focus, she also paints in oil and occasionally acrylic. For this show she will be showing only watercolors.
Pittsford Fine Art is a gallery owned and run by 23 prominent regional painters. Parking is available in front of the gallery, at 4 North Main Street, or at the nearby public parking lot. For more hours, visit pittsfordfineart.com and find Pittsford Fine Art on Facebook.
