Resilience / Survivance / Care with Lauren Jimerson
Rochester Contemporary Art Center
137 East Ave.
Sep 6, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Presented in association with the exhibition R. G. Miller: Tsi Non:we Entewaha’hara’ne / Our Path Forward, Hodinöhšyo:ni:h artist Lauren Jimerson will host Resilience / Survivance / Care on First Friday at 6pm.

As an art therapy student, Jimerson has researched the topic of trauma, more specifically historical and intergenerational trauma. This event examines the role of resilience, survivance and care that is needed along the way, but is not typically thought of being provided when considering trauma. Lauren will visit all of these topics, how they connect with each other and how they can promote restoring our loved ones, ourselves and our communities.

Lauren is also the consulting artist advising on protocols of care and a special restorative space installed alongside the exhibition of RG Miller’s work.
