Ramon Santiago: A Private Release Collection of Paintings and Drawings
AXOM Home & Gallery
661 South Ave.
Dec 4, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Axom Gallery is honored to exhibit a private collection of artworks by the late Ramon Santiago. This is the first exhibit of its kind in 15-20 years and contains work from the most valued period in Santiago’s career. Most of the works are executed in the famed sensitive, dramatic and mysterious style in which Santiago often rendered provocative women as dark humanoid creatures. The collection also includes ‘Flowers’ a still life of a vase of flowers, an in its rarity is one of the most prized works that are on view.
The opportunity to collect signature art works from the height of Santiago’s career has not been available to the public for quite some time and to honor this opportunity, AXOM Gallery is donating a portion of the proceeds in remembrance of Santiago to Camp Good Days and Special Times, one of the many charitable causes Ramon contributed to in his lifetime.
This exhibition will also showcase our popular ‘Living With Art’ series, where artworks can be seen in lifestyle settings with contemporary home décor.
