Participate in Public Art – Community Vigil and Gathering
Rochester Contemporary Art Center
137 East Ave.
Nov 3, 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm

This First Friday, social practice artist Martin Krafft will be maintaining a day-long vigil for Rochester victims of gun violence at RoCo. From 12-6pm, he will be tracing photos of gun violence victims submitted from the Rochester community and invites visitors to join him in the gallery to share in the act of tracing as a collective, creative form of remembrance. At 6pm, there will be a communal gathering in coordination with Rise Up Rochester to reflect and share on the impact of gun violence in the Rochester community.

This vigil and gathering is a component of our public art installation “Who Will Be Next?” by Martin Krafft and Elena Makansi.

Photo is from a previous gun violence memorial at RoCo with Martin Krafft held on August 4.
