Moonrise is artist Evan Bobrow’s ongoing project exploring intuitive world-building and imaginative play. By using technical methods of representation, the artist attempts to legitimize these imagined places as if they were real scientific discoveries. This exhibition centers around the Moonrise Portal installation, originally created at Visual Studies Workshop Project Space residency in October of this year. The structure, inspired by the 1973 book Nomadic Furniture, acts as a designated space to explore these worlds. This exhibition continues through February 22.
