Lori Mulligan is a local artist raised by creative souls that always encouraged artistic expression. After graduating from SUNY Buffalo, she moved to NYC to pursue a jewelry-making career. Lori then moved back to Rochester, where she found a new outlet for her creativity: painting. Local storefronts and school murals started it all – now she paints intuitive art. Lori rarely ends up with the final product imagined, and trusts her art to take its own course. She has recently been inspired to explore collage, prompted by Rochester Contemporary Art Center’s recent collage exhibit, Cut & Paste.
