Transient Motifs: Laural Hartman + Aaron Swindle

This duo-exhibition features two artists whose long friendship over time, various locations, and shared experiences of navigating the world as deaf and hard of hearing have kept them threaded together. While Laural employs her heightened sense of peripheral environment to create a place of her own, Aaron borrows motifs from his previous works and recycles them into new, previously unrecognizable images. “Both of us share a love of abstract expressionism and we strive to maintain a voice that is heard through the visual cacophony.”
