In Control is “Rochester’s Most Official Teen Program.” For over 25 years, we have been a program with a purpose. We link together opportunities, neighborhood outreach, and health education to help youth thrive in the City of Rochester. We meet teens where they’re at, whether in school, on the streets, and empower them to take control of their future. This photography program is for teens ages 14-18 who are inspired to be behind the Lens. With Christopher “Goodknews” Cardwell as our instructor these teens were able to learn from a celebrity photographer who is located in Rochester, NY. Christopher “Goodknews” Cardwell was able to teach these amazing participants how to understand composition, color, lighting, capturing motion photos, shooting on location and in the studio. This program developed their skills as potential future photographers. This is only the beginning.
