First Friday with ImageOut and HRC
Rochester Contemporary Art Center
137 East Ave.
Nov 1, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join staff from The Human Rights Campaign, ImageOut, and RoCo for a First Friday focused on learning. Chat with us about everything our organizations have to offer, the collaborative efforts to support and promote artists, and the steps to create a more equitable and just world! At 7pm there will be special poetry/spoken word performances by Anderson Allen and Jonathan Everitt.

This event coincides with Queering Democracy: Art, Identity and Politics in 2024. Presented in partnership with ImageOut Art, this national juried exhibition is a reflection of our current moment, and is a poignant response to the alarming rise of anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation. Queering Democracy showcases a wide range of experiences, emotions, and thoughts on the evolving struggle for LGBTQIA+ rights and representation, and includes over 50 artworks from 15 US States by 44 artists.
