Join us on First Friday for the opening reception of Finding Forever: The art and expression of Ya’qub Shabazz. Ever since he was a pre-adolescent Ya’qub had been fascinated by the deeper meanings of things, words, historical figures, and most importantly cultural symbolism. What starts out as yearning “to know” becomes a tenacious self-study and research into Black Aesthetic that you will see expressed in works in a wide variety of ways. This exhibit is on display through March 13th, 2022.
