Most all of Brenda’s subject matter in her watercolors are animals. She has always been fascinated with animals and loves painting them. Brenda likes to be able to show something of the animal’s personality, such as a dog with his favorite ball, or a cat doing something it does everyday besides sleeping. Brenda paints from photographs and many times uses a video to catch the right image. After doing a sketch on watercolor paper, she paints the eyes first and lets them tell her how the rest of the painting should go.
