Our January 2024 Featured Artist is Kathleen Bolin, a Village of Pittsford resident. She is a plein air oil painter, setting up her easel outdoors and attempting to capture a sense of place. In addition to her landscape painting of the Finger Lakes region with its rolling hills and its scenic lakes, Kathleen paints portraits and figures. She especially loves fields of sunflowers.

Kathleen is a graduate of Nazareth College with an Art Degree. She has studied with Tom Insalaco, John Wagner, Chris Kolupski and the late John Peisley. She is a Signature member of the Rochester Art Club and a member of the Greater Rochester Plein Air Painters.

In Kathleen’s words her greatest accomplishment as a painter was the decision to dedicate herself to developing and expressing through paint, her creative passion. She continues to do so today.

Kathleen will be present during Pittsford Fine Arts’ First Friday event 5-8pm.
