ReCo Lab is excited to host the artist, pen name Edgar Aebok, and his recent mixed media works on canvas. Edgar Aebok combines ideas from both high and low brow art with influences from both Gorilla Art and Fine Art. Represented through the use of material and subject matter, Aebok’s application of mediums like spray paint, inks, and paint sticks pay homage to graffiti while the use of oil paint on canvas and still life as subject matter reflect a more traditional execution. In general, the goal of this body of work is to satisfy both the artistic eye and vandals while fitting into a larger history of painting.
