DOOMSLAYERS
RIT City Art Space
280 E Main St., 1st Floor
Nov 1, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

In our contemporary era of doomscrolling, the world can often feel as if it’s spiraling toward dystopia, driven by dark forces in society, politics and nature. The artists in this group exhibition present their own ways of staring down the doom. Using difficult, confrontational, or otherworldly imagery in their work, they wield darker themes as empowering forces.

Featuring original artwork by Nava Barenji, Zara Bronwyn, Hernease Davis, Shawnee Rebekah Morning Dove Hill, Sari Oister, Sarah Sutton and Nadya Tolokonnikova. Work is also on view by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and Jack Levine on loan from Art Bridges and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.
