ImageOut established this annual art exhibition in 2017 with the recognition that Rochester and its surrounding area are home to several amazing university art programs. The exhibition provides opportunities for local students to gain exhibition experience, while showcasing emerging talents in our own community. This exhibition highlights a range of artists in terms of their experience levels and the variety of mediums displayed, including printmaking, drawing, photography, sculpture, and animation. With nearly forty submissions from five regional universities, this year’s show is shaping up to be very exciting. The opening reception will also feature a one night-only showing of Nilson Carroll’s video Video Game Criticism. The ImageOut art committee will also announce the winners of three cash prizes, in hopes to encourage young artists to continue to develop their skills by providing funds to aid them in purchasing art supplies and equipment.
