“Art Enhances Our World” – Featured Artist Kathleen Warren
Pittsford Fine Art
4 N Main St.
Aug 2, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Kathy likes to paint beautiful things for herself, hoping others will enjoy them too. She paints flowers and still life arrangements, nature, landscapes, seascapes, and buildings that “speak” to her. Kathy tries to beautify her world and maybe others’ walls.
Flowers or greenery seem to appear in most of what Kathy likes to paint – be it focal flowers, casual or formal arrangements that she sets up herself, things she sees along the streets, or colorful objects that look like fun to paint. They would all be boring if their lights and shadows did not add abstractions and challenges to artists.
Kathy prefers to work in oils but feels that sometimes a scene lends itself better to the softness of watercolor. She has been a member of the Penfield Art Association for fifteen years. She was also juried into the Charleston Art Guild and the Mt. Pleasant Art Guild in South Carolina where she and her husband winter on the Isle of Palms. Locally she lives and paints in East Rochester.
Kathy will be present at Pittsford Fine Art, 4 N. Main St from 5-8pm on August 2, 2024 and looks forward to meeting you and talking to you about her art.
