Rebecca Maynard is from Brockport, NY and has been painting for the past ten years. She loves to experiment with different mediums and methods. She is never afraid to try new things which results in a wide variety of work. She paints with watercolor, oil, acrylic, inks, and collage. Most of her work is colorful, organic, and related to nature in some way. She enjoys combining abstract with representational subjects. She often uses humor to make the viewer, and herself, smile.
Rebecca has worked in the mental health system for 35 years and has found that delving into art provides her with a meditative experience. Time and worry slip away and she is left with the woods, animals, lakes, and color.
