First Friday Featured Artist Gabriele Lodder – “An Artist’s Palette”
Pittsford Fine Art
4 N Main St.
Sep 1, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Being an adventurer and loving travel wherever it takes her allows Gabriele Lodder’s creative thoughts to paint what she has experienced firsthand. Gabriele feels there are mediums and color choices that make a painting speak — whether it is the ruggedness of a mountain, the rolling of the ocean waves or the delicate beauty of a flower.

Gabriele presently resides in Webster, NY and maintains a studio at the Fedder Building downtown Rochester. A self-taught artist starting out with watercolor, continued with oil, and then moved onto her favorite choice of medium, pastels. She honed her skills taking numerous workshops with locally and internationally known artists, all to build her confidence and to refine her work. Gabriele’s work has been shown and juried into numerous exhibitions and received awards accordingly.

“I am always honored when a judge at an exhibition selects your work making it worthy of an award. That to me acknowledges my hard work and diligence and urges me on to continue doing what I love — to paint. I believe the true joy of painting is when you share that work with patrons and other lovers of art.”

Gabriele is a member of the Main Street Artists and Gallery; a signature member and treasurer of the Rochester Art Club; past president of the Penfield Art Association; member of the Pastel Society of Western NY and a signature member of the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA).
