“A Color Explosion” by Luann Pero
Image City Photography Gallery

Aug 4, 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Our next show, “A Color Explosion” features Luann Pero. Luann Pero uses her camera and artistic skills to create abstract, painterly, and watercolor-like images with muted colors and softened lines. Luann says that “Each flower or tree has a personality to discover. There is a creative poetic magic that I feel when creating a picture.” Luann invokes Edgar Degas who once said that “Art is not what you see, but what you make others see when creating the picture.”

Luann’s exhibition, ‘A Color Explosion!’ is a celebration of the natural world and showcases the stunning beauty of the botanical flora that surrounds us both in her literal and abstract images. Her images inspire the viewer to create their own story. Whether it’s in the intricate details of a flower or the grandeur of an age-old tree reflected in the water or her montages of multiple images, her show inspires a sense of wonder that captures the rhythm and beauty found in nature.

In addition, Bruce Elling, Beth Quattrociocchi and Amy Palermo are in the Neuberger Gallery. Guest Photographers include Lisa Cook, John Ejaife, Eric Granger, Lee Ingraham, Kay Nowicki and Joe Occhipinti. Galley Partners Dick Bennett, Marie Costanza, Steve Levinson, Gil Maker, Don Menges, Luann Pero, Betsy Phillips, John Solberg and Sheridan Vincent will also exhibit their work.

This exhibition runs July 11 – August 6. There is no admission fee, and the Gallery is accessible to everyone. Learn more here.
